Scope Boundaries

IJET considers manuscripts that demonstrate a clear and substantive relationship to engineering, applied sciences, technological development, or the scientific evaluation of engineering systems and processes. Interdisciplinary research is welcomed when engineering methodologies, technological applications, system design, computational approaches, or measurable technical outcomes constitute a meaningful component of the investigation.

Manuscripts that fall outside the journal’s stated disciplinary focus, lack sufficient methodological documentation, present unsupported conclusions, or fail to demonstrate a meaningful contribution to engineering and technological knowledge are not considered suitable for publication. Previously published work, duplicate submissions, promotional or commercial material, fabricated or falsified research, plagiarized content, and manuscripts that do not meet applicable research ethics requirements are also outside the journal’s acceptable scope.

Submissions involving Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Environmental Studies, Agriculture, Healthcare, Geography, or other interdisciplinary fields must establish a direct connection to engineering or technology rather than merely addressing the subject from a general disciplinary perspective.

Editorial evaluation emphasizes originality, methodological soundness, technical accuracy, research integrity, clarity of reporting, reproducibility where applicable, and scholarly significance. Publication decisions are based on academic merit and relevance to the journal’s scope, without discrimination based on authors’ geographical location, nationality, or institutional affiliation.

Intended Readership

The Indian Journal of Engineering and Technology serves researchers, university faculty members, doctoral and postgraduate scholars, practicing engineers, scientists, technological innovators, research institutions, industrial professionals, academic libraries, policymakers, and specialists engaged in engineering research and technological development.

The journal seeks to facilitate meaningful interaction between academic research and professional engineering practice by disseminating research that contributes to scientific understanding, technological advancement, industrial innovation, sustainable development, and evidence-based decision-making.
