Conflicts of Interest Policy
General Principles
The Indian Journal of Engineering and Technology (IJET), published by PhD Kro, India, requires transparency in financial, professional, and personal interests that may influence research or editorial decisions. Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest. Disclosure supports fair evaluation and does not automatically disqualify a manuscript.
Types of Conflicts of Interest
Financial Interests
Research funding, employment, consultancy, patents, royalties, equity ownership, and other financial relationships.
Professional Interests
Institutional relationships, recent collaborations, academic supervision, direct competition, and professional commitments.
Personal Interests
Family relationships, close friendships, personal associations, or other circumstances affecting impartiality.
Responsibilities of Authors
All authors must disclose relevant financial and non-financial interests during submission. Funding sources and sponsor involvement must be stated accurately. Authors without competing interests must provide a declaration confirming their absence. Relevant disclosures are included in the published article.
Responsibilities of Editors and Reviewers
Editors and reviewers must disclose relationships or interests that could compromise independent assessment. Individuals with material conflicts must decline or withdraw from the relevant editorial assignment. Conflicted manuscripts are reassigned to independent editors or reviewers. Editorial decisions must remain based on scholarly merit and research integrity.
Conflict of Interest Disclosure Workflow
Disclosure Statements
Every submitted manuscript must include a conflict of interest declaration. The statement should identify relevant relationships or confirm that no competing interests exist. Disclosures should be updated if circumstances change during manuscript evaluation or before publication.

Undisclosed Conflicts and Corrective Action
If a significant undisclosed conflict becomes known, the journal may request clarification, reassess the editorial process, or initiate an appropriate investigation. Depending on the findings, corrective measures may include editorial reassignment, an updated declaration, a published correction, or other action under the Publication Ethics Policy. Individuals concerned will have a reasonable opportunity to respond.
